CITIES
Most of the cities and towns in the Appalachian/Atlantic region are located in the lowlands and coastal areas. As can be seen below, not many cities have a population over 50,000. In fact, the capital city of Prince Edward Island contains less than 35,000 people. Most people live in small towns or villages.
